Itinerary
Day 1 — Casablanca to Fes via Rabat
We start at the Hassan II Mosque, then drive up the coast to Rabat for its royal monuments before continuing inland to Fes for the night.
Day 2 — Fes
A full day with a local guide in the medina: the tanneries, the Al Qarawiyyin mosque and university, and the souks around them.
Day 3 — Fes to Merzouga
We cross the Middle Atlas through Ifrane's cedar forest, then the Ziz Valley to Erg Chebbi, riding camels into the dunes for sunset and a night at a desert camp.
Day 4 — Merzouga
A full day in the desert — sunrise over the dunes, Khamlia's Gnawa musicians, and time to simply take in the stillness before a second evening at the camp.
Day 5 — Merzouga to Ouarzazate
West through Erfoud, the Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley's kasbahs and rose fields, to Ouarzazate for the night.
Day 6 — Ouarzazate to Marrakech
A visit to Ait Ben Haddou before we cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon.
