The Ouzoud Waterfalls appear in almost every Moroccan brochure — and for good reason. About three hours by car from Marrakech, set deep in the Atlas Mountains, the falls drop more than 100 metres into a series of pools below.
The setting is extraordinary: a dramatic gorge that's home to families of Barbary apes and a variety of native birds. There's time to walk down to the base of the falls, take in the views and, in season, ride a small boat near the pools.
