- Marrakech
Itinerary
Day 1 — Fes
A full day with a local guide in the medina: the tanneries, the Al Qarawiyyin mosque and university, and the souks and schools around them.
Day 2 — Fes to Beni Mellal via Meknes, Volubilis and Ifrane
We take in Volubilis and Meknes on the way south, then Ifrane and its cedar forest — home to troops of Barbary macaques — before continuing to Beni Mellal, at the foot of the Atlas, for the night.
Day 3 — Beni Mellal to Ouzoud Falls
A short drive to the Ouzoud waterfalls, where the Oued el-Abid drops nearly 100 metres in stages through the rock. We take a boat out to the base of the falls and stay nearby.
Day 4 — Ouzoud to Marrakech
A last look at the falls in the morning light before a straightforward drive to Marrakech, arriving in the afternoon.
Day 5 — Marrakech
A guided day through the medina: the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia mosque and gardens, and the souks around the Jemaa el-Fna.
