This six-day private tour runs from Marrakech deep into the Moroccan south, following the road of a thousand kasbahs to the great dunes of Erg Chebbi and back through dramatic gorges and valleys.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Marrakech
We collect you from Marrakech airport or your riad and, depending on your arrival time, leave the day free to rest or wander the medina and the Djemaa el-Fna. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2 — Marrakech to the Dades Valley
Leaving after breakfast, we cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, stopping for the views and for photographs along the way. Beyond Ouarzazate we follow the Valley of the Roses, known for the rosewater distilled here each spring, and continue up into the Dades Valley for dinner and the night at a local hotel.
Day 3 — Todra Gorge and the Erg Chebbi dunes
This morning we explore the Dades Gorge, then drive on to the Todra Gorge and walk beneath its sheer red walls. Continuing east through Tinghir and Erfoud, we reach Merzouga in the afternoon and swap the vehicle for camels, riding about an hour and a half over the dunes of Erg Chebbi to our desert camp. Dinner, drumming and a night in a Berber tent follow.
Day 4 — Merzouga, Rissani and Ait Ben Haddou
We rise for sunrise over the sand and ride the camels back for breakfast. The day takes us through the busy souk at Rissani, the old capital of the Tafilalet, and along the Draa Valley with its ribbon of palms. We spend the night near Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 5 — Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech
After a slow morning at the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — the set of more than twenty films — we recross the Atlas through the Berber villages of the Tichka road and return to Marrakech for the night.
Day 6 — Departure
We transfer you to Marrakech airport in time for your flight.
