Itinerary
Day 1 — Tangier to Tetouan and Chefchaouen
We start with a short drive out to Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, and the Hercules Caves cut into the cliffs below. From there we head inland to Tetouan, whose whitewashed Andalusian medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before continuing into the hills to Chefchaouen for the night.
Day 2 — Chefchaouen
A full day in the blue town: the Ras el Maa spring at the edge of the medina, the Kasbah museum and its gardens, the weavers' souk, and a walk up to the old Spanish Mosque for the view at sunset.
Day 3 — Chefchaouen to Tangier
We take the mountain road back through Ouezzane, with time to stop at a roadside viewpoint over the Rif before returning to Tangier in the afternoon.
