Itinerary
Day 1 — Tangier to Chefchaouen
We leave the coast and climb into the Rif via Tetouan, arriving in Chefchaouen by early afternoon with time to explore its blue-washed lanes and the Ras el Maa spring before dinner.
Day 2 — Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes
Heading south we stop at Volubilis, Morocco's best-preserved Roman site, with its mosaic floors still largely intact, then at Meknes for the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and the Bab Mansour gate. We reach Fes in the evening.
Day 3 — Fes
A full day with a local guide through the medina: the tanneries at Chouara, the Al Qarawiyyin mosque and university — recognised as the oldest continuously operating university in the world — the Bou Inania Madrasa and the souks around them.
Day 4 — Fes
A quieter last morning to revisit the souks or a particular corner of the medina before your onward journey.
