Itinerary
Day 1 — Tangier to Chefchaouen
A stop at Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, before we climb into the Rif to Chefchaouen for the night.
Day 2 — Chefchaouen
A full day in the blue town: the Ras el Maa spring, the Kasbah museum and a walk up to the old Spanish Mosque for sunset.
Day 3 — Chefchaouen to Meknes via Volubilis
A stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis before an afternoon in Meknes.
Day 4 — Meknes to Fes
A short drive to Fes, with the afternoon free to explore.
Day 5 — Fes
A full day with a local guide in the medina: the tanneries, the Al Qarawiyyin mosque and university, and the souks around them.
Day 6 — Fes to Merzouga
Crossing the Middle Atlas through Ifrane's cedar forest and the Ziz Valley, we reach Erg Chebbi for a camel trek into the dunes at sunset and a night at a desert camp.
Day 7 — Merzouga to the Todra Gorge
West through Erfoud to the Todra Gorge, staying the night beneath its limestone walls.
Day 8 — Todra Gorge to Skoura via the Dades Valley
The Dades Valley's rose fields and kasbahs lead us to the Skoura oasis for the night.
Day 9 — Skoura to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou
We visit Ait Ben Haddou, then cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Marrakech.
Day 10 — Marrakech
A guided day through the medina: the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia and gardens, and the souks around the Jemaa el-Fna.
Day 11 — Marrakech to Essaouira
A relaxed drive west through argan groves to the walled port of Essaouira for the night.
Day 12 — Essaouira
A free morning by the sea before your onward journey.
